Die Polizei hat das Handy des Thringer CDU-Chefs ... "IndyWatch Feed National"

Was genau soll das heien?

"This hearing and oversight work has a simple idea at its core. Unidentified Aerial Phenomena are a potential national security threat, and they need to be treated that way. Freedom of Information Act - Moderna, Pfizer "IndyWatch Feed National"

As a result of Defending the Republics (DTR) successful Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) litigation against the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), we are excited to announce that we are releasing nearly 15,000 pages of documents relating to testing and adverse events associated with Modernas COVID-19 vaccine Spikevax.

DTR filed its FOIA lawsuit after the FDA denied the expedited production of Moderna COVID-19 records, stating there was no compelling need or urgency for the public to review this information. This spring, DTR reached an agreement with the FDA for the production of approximately 24,000 pages of some of the most important records submitted by Moderna in support of its Biologics License Application (BLA). This is the first part of that production. Later this year the FDA will produce approximately 8,000 more pages of Moderna documents.

These documents are the first significant release of data from Modernas COVID-19 clinical trials. They reveal the causes of deaths, serious adverse events, and instances of neurological disorders (such as Bells Palsy and Shingles) potentially associated with Modernas COVID-19 vaccine.

Importantly, these records also demonstrate the utter lack of thoroughness of these studies. Many of those who died after receiving the Moderna vaccine were not given an autopsy. According to one study, 16 individuals died after being administered the Moderna vaccine.  The studys authors indicated that out of those 16 deaths, only two autopsies were performed, five of the dead were not autopsied, and the autopsy status of nine of the dead was unknown.

It is essential that Australian unions join global efforts to build material and political solidarity with Ukrainian workers. This is not just in keeping with our movements long history of struggle and solidarity with international struggles against imperialist oppression, but so we can maximise our ability to put pressure on the Australian government and its imperialist allies against their efforts to transform Ukraine into a neoliberal paradise.

As climate crisis costs rise, who will pay? "IndyWatch Feed National"

Amy Goodman the host of Democracy now and Dennis Moynihan a bestselling author write (Common Dreams 24 July 2023) about the Important question of how the global burden of shifting away from fossil fuels should be shared., and that those countries that have historically contributed the most to putting carbon in the atmosphere should pay more and provide help to [poorer nations. Instead of doing this, they are still trying to push the cost onto others. They say global transition to renewable energy is going to be costly, but the cost of doing nothing would be far greater.

Record-shattering temperatures are baking the Northern Hemisphere, causing death, injury, and displacement. From China to Europe to the United States, regions are breaking not only high temperature records, but are also surpassing the record number of consecutive days of life-threatening heat. Phoenix, Arizona, passed 20 days with high temperatures above 110F. Massive rainstorms and typhoons are flooding cities and towns from India to southern China to New England. Raging Canadian wildfires are blanketing the eastern United States with thick smoke that can cause long-term respiratory damage.

The extreme weatheran increasingly frequent occurrence in our warming climateis having a major impact on human health, ecosystems, economies, agriculture, energy, and water supplies, World Meteorological Organization Secretary-General Petteri Taalas commented on Wednesday, adding, We have to step up efforts to help society adapt to what is unfortunately becoming the new normal.

When Taalas says help society he isnt referring to any particular country; he means human society, globally. A truly effective solution to the climate crisis must be global, based on the rapid transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy. This transition is going to be costly, but the cost of doing nothing would be far greater. The question is, who is going to pay?

Countries like the United States and those of western Europe grew rich by burning fossil fuels with abandon for over a century, while poorer countries in the Global South, many now facing the worst impacts of climate change, have contributed negligibly to carbon levels in the atmosphere.

It has long been acknowledged inside the annual United Nations climate negotiations th...

Retrofit now for looming heat waves "IndyWatch Feed National"

Suggested retrofitting ideas include sealing around doors, windows and walls; improving or adding ceiling, wall and underfloor insulation. Photo Wikimedia

With the warmest week being recorded globally, RMITs Dr Trivess Moore is encouraging home owners to prepare.

Dr Moore said in a press release on Monday, Data from the past few weeks has highlighted we are at a critical and vulnerable point in time.

When it is cold, people dont think of preparing their homes for summer. But now is the time to act before we feel the effects of El Nio, which increases the risks of drought, heatwaves and bushfires.

The longer we delay delivering the type of housing required for a changing climatic future, the more costly it will be to retrofit poor quality and under-performing housing in the future.

Suggested retrofitting ideas include sealing up gaps and cracks around doors, windows and walls; improving or adding ceiling, wall and underfloor insulation.

Safety issues

Dr Moore adds, For those with a few practical skills, you can DIY but there are some safety issues to watch out for.

Investing in good quality blinds or curtains is also advised, for thermal comfort.

Housing crisis brutal says social housing advocate "IndyWatch Feed National"

More than four in five renters are in housing stress, with homelessness the leading impact of the housing crisis, a report by national housing campaign Everybodys Home has revealed.

According to the advocacy group, based on surveys of almost 750 people, its Brutal Reality Report found that two thirds (67 per cent) of people are in housing stress; four in five (82 per cent) renters are in rental stress; three quarters (75 per cent) of people are scared about their financial security because of the housing crisis; and two thirds (66 per cent) of people are worried about their mental health and wellbeing.

An Everybodys Home spokesperson said, The report also surveyed housing and welfare organisations across Australia. Nine in ten (89 per cent) reported bigger and more complex workloads, while three in five (61 per cent) said their staff were experiencing burnout or leaving their roles due to the crisis.

Spokesperson, Maiy Azize, says they are calling for more social and affordable housing for people in extreme rental stress.

Our shortfall is so big that some people in our survey have been waiting for over a decade.

Social housing is the best way to free up cheaper rentals and boost the supply of affordable homes. The federal government must create 25,000 new homes each year to meet the social housing shortfall.

Our national, state and territory leaders must work to create a better deal for renters. Its time to end unfair rent increases and no-cause evictions for good.

The federal government has to also phase out unfair tax breaks for investors. People told us they want the government to fund homes for people in need, not investment vehicles that push prices up for everyone.

Meanwhile, public submissions into a federal Senate inquiry into the worsening rental crisis in Australia will be extended till August 4.

'We have never seen this': scientists baffled by behaviour of pilot whales before Western Australia mass stranding "IndyWatch Feed National"

Officials are baffled by the remarkable behaviour of a large pod of pilot whales that grouped together in a heart shape before stranding themselves on a remote Western Australian beach. Drone footage captured the moment the pod of almost 100 long-finned pilot whales moved tightly together before stranding themselves at Cheynes beach about 60km east of Albany on Tuesday evening. By Wednesday morning, more than 50 whales lay dead on the shore, with volunteers, government workers and scientists fighting to save 46 more. WA's environment minister, Reece Whitby, said researchers from across Australia were baffled by the never-before-seen behaviour of the whales in the hours leading up to the stranding.

ACTION ALERT ~ 20 Tons per Day Medical Waste Processing Set for Ravenswood Area "IndyWatch Feed National"

Jackson County is hills and valleys including the Ohio River valley

Tell WV DAQ: Dont let out-of-state companies pollute hazardous waste in our communities!

Action Alert from the West Virginia Rivers Coalition, July 24, 2023

Thunder Mountain Environmental Services, an out-of-state company, is seeking an air permit to release emissions from a medical waste incinerator near Ravenswood, WV in Jackson County.

While few details are known about the impacts of waste-to-fuel operations, the draft permit indicates carcinogens will be released into the air if this waste-to-fuel incinerator is allowed to operate.

Moreover, there are many unanswered questions regarding how waste will be accepted, processed, and disposed of, leaving us in the dark about the full extent of its impacts.

The WVDEP Division of Air Quality is about to decide on the air permit. We encourage you to voice your about potential environmental impacts and health concerns for surrounding communities before the comment period closes on Thursday, July 27.

Join us in telling the WVDEP Division of Air Quality that we do not want an out-of-state company profiting from hauling in tons of toxic trash to pollute and dispose of in our communities.

In the town of Follansbee, West Virginians have already taken a stand against toxic facilities like this. We must follow their lead in Ravenswood, and anywhere our land, water, and environment are threatened.

Together, we can create a cleaner, safer, and healthier future for all.

July 26, 2023, House UAP Hearing Archive Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Implications on National Security, Public Safety, and Government Transparency "IndyWatch Feed National"

Background

This page is setup on The Black Vault to archive details about the July 26, 2023, subcommittee hearing about Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena, or UAP. It was held by the National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs subcommittee.

Archived here will be all information released, including additional information added by The Black Vault. This page will be updated through the day on July 26, then later archived to maintain the information.

Original Press Release of July 20, 2023

WASHINGTONThe Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs will hold a hearing titled Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Implications on National Security, Public Safety, and Government Transparency. The subcommittee hearing will explore firsthand accounts of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) and assess the federal governments transparency and accountability regarding UAPs possible threats to U.S. national security. This hearing will also highlight legislative efforts to bring transparency to UAPs and require the federal government to provide the American people with information about potential risks to public safety and national security.

The Pentagon and Washington bureaucrats have kept this information hidden for decades, and were finally going to shed some light on it. Were bringing in credible witnesses who can provide public testimony because the American people deserve the truth. Were done with the cover-ups, said Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.).

In 2022, at the direction of Congress, the Department of Defense created the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) to investigate UAP reports. The federal government spends millions of dollars examining UAPs yet refuses to be forthcoming with the American people as it continues to declassify certain videos and studies on various UAP incidents with little clarity on the subjects origins.

The status quo on the part of the U.S. government has been to leave the American public in the dark regarding information about UAPs, refuse to answer questions posed by whistleblowers, avoid the concerns Americans have about the possible threats UAPs pose to our national security and public safety, and default to extreme and unnecessary over-classification. If the last few months have taught me anything, it is that this is an issue that matters to Americans. It also impacts the transparency and accountability our government is supposed to grant to the pe...

The International in Support the Troops "IndyWatch Feed National"

The second commentary in our ongoing symposium on Katharine Millars Support the Troops: Military Obligation, Gender, and the Making of Political Community. Pinar Bilgin is a professor of International Relations at Bilkent University, Ankara. She is the author of The International in Security, Security in the International (Routledge, 2016) and Regional Security in the Middle East: A Critical Perspective, 2nd ed. (Routledge, 2019). www.pinarbilgin.me

Support has emerged as the new service following a moment of disconnect with the troops in the UK and the US, we learn from Kate Millars book, Support the Troops. How about other parts of the world that apparently experienced no such disconnect? Support the Troops makes no claim to explain what happens outside the US and UK cases. But I wonder if, by missing aspects of the international, were missing a part of the condition of possibility of all this? In what follows, I will consider the international that has allowed for support to emerge as the new service in some parts of the world, even as others continue to serve and support in some other parts of the world.

Millar acknowledges that StT discoursesalmost uniformlyfail to engage with the international in that Iraqi, Pakistani, and Afghan civilians killed by the wars are rarely mentioned (175). But then, inter-state wars do not exhaust the international. The author also considers the colonial background. These states the US, UK, and others with pervasive support the troops practices, notably Canada and Australiaare also unified by their status as colonial states, she notes (177). Indeed, following Tarak Barkawis argument in Soldiers of Empire, colonial military relations have shaped post-colonial military relations. Yet again, post-/colonial relations do not exhaust the international.

The international in Support the Troops can also be located in post-World War II relations between Europe and non-Europe. When I write Europe, I refer to Western Europe and North America as the geographies that are put at the centre by those who are carriers of this particular w...

6 Bathroom Tile Trends "IndyWatch Feed National"

Whether youre in the market for a full bathroom makeover or a simple touch-up, there are plenty of bathroom tile trends that can kick-start your transformation. Tiles are a fantastic way to add colour, patterns and visual flair to your bathroom and make an impact. Today, well discuss 6 bathroom tile trends that will help you update your bathroom and create something modern, stylish and impactful.

  1. Mixed Matte and Gloss Tiles

While combining tiles with different finishes might sound odd, the reality is that its a great way to enhance the visuals of your bathroom and create an aesthetic thats modern and cutting-edge. We recommend combining matte and gloss tiles of different shades of the same colour, as it creates a bold yet understated design. What makes it so visually appealing is that the glossy tiles catch the light, opening up the space and creating a contrast with the matte tiles that catch your eye for all the right reasons.

  1. Experimenting With Patterns

Patterned tiles remain a staple of modern bathrooms around the world, immediately injecting personality anywhere they go. One thing to consider when selecting patterned tiles is their size, especially in relation to the dimensions of your bathroom.

You dont want to create something too busy or overwhelming, so consider selecting a soft pattern that will complement the rest of the interior rather than distract from it. If you do want to select a pattern thats more dramatic, balance it out with simple walls and fixtures so that your eyes know where to look and dont cause a sensory overload.

  1. Metallics

Whether its copper, gold or brass, metallic-effect tiles are a surefire way to create an industrial-style bathroom thats sleek and modern. With their rich tones, metallic tiles are unexpectedly warm and come in an impressive variety of finishes, sizes and colours.

Tile Shop Geelong

If you do decide to go with metallic tiles, stay away from choosing any clashing tapware in your sink, shower or bathtub. Matte black can be a great alternative, allowing your matt tiles to be the focal point of the room and stand out in the best way possible.

US, Australia Launch Largest-Ever Joint Military Exercise "IndyWatch Feed Nsw"

This years Talisman Sabre exercise involved 11 other nations and over 30,000 military personnelby Dave DeCamp Posted on  https://news.antiwar.com/2023/07/23/us-australia-launch-largest-ever-joint-military-exercise/

The US and Australia on Friday launched the largest-ever iteration of their Talisman Sabre exercise as the US is increasingly focused on building alliances in the Asia Pacific against China.

The Talisman Sabre started in 2005 as a biennial exercise between the US and Australia. This years iteration involves participants from 11 other countries and over 30,000 military personnel.

US Navy Secretary Carlos Del Toro spoke at the opening ceremony on Friday and said the massive drills served as a warning to China. The most important message that China can take from this exercise and anything that our allies and partners do together is that we are extremely tied by the core values that exist among our many nations together, he said at a naval base in Sydney.

In a symbolic gesture to demonstrate the growing military ties between the US and Australia, the US on Saturday commissioned a naval vessel in Sydney, the USS Canberra, an Independence-class littoral combat ship. It marked the first time the US ever commissioned a US Navy ship was commissioned in a foreign port.

Del Toro has previously said that the US Navy envisions turning Australia into a full-service submarine hub for the US and its allies in the region under the AUKUS military pact that was signed between the US, Britain, and Australia in 2021 that will result in...

Small Australian Penguins Saved By Large White Dogs "IndyWatch Feed National"

BBC

Just off the picturesque coast of Warrnambool city in Australia, lies a hidden gem called Middle Island. This unassuming island is not only a breathtaking natural wonder, but it is also home to some very small and special residents who have become the center of a remarkable achievement.

Meet the adorable little penguin, affectionately known as the fairy penguin. As their name suggests, these charming creatures are the smallest penguins in the world, standing at a mere 35 centimeters tall. Despite their petite size, they possess a unique spirit that captures the hearts of locals and visitors alike.

However, the tranquility of Middle Island was once disrupted by a grave threat to the little penguin population. Starting in 1991, sedimentation and tidal patterns created a temporary pathway, a tidal causeway, between the island and the mainland. Unfortunately, this newfound connection proved to be a gateway for foxes, who swiftly seized the opportunity to wreak havoc on the vulnerable ground-nesting birds.

Daniel Duggans imprisonment is a denial of justice and an affront to Australias sovereignty "IndyWatch Feed National"

Contributed from Victoria

Too many Australians still dont know who Daniel Duggan is, even if his case has significant repercussions and says a lot about how legal process is Australia is being transformed into something that we should all be worried about. Everyone should know more about what is happening to this man.

Daniel is a former American and now Australian citizen and a family. He was once a US marine, and since coming to Australia, built a pilot training business. This led him to a contract to for commercial pilot training in South Africa, with a company that goes by the name of the Test Flying Academy of South Africa (TFASA).

It happened that he had some of the students were Chinese citizens. Theis led authorities in Washington to accuse TFASA and Duggen of working with the Chinese to undermine United States policy. It led to action to capture Duggan, and it appears, with the assistance of the Australia Security and Intelligence Organisation (ASIO), which is immersed in the United States led confrontation with China.

Through this agency Daniel Duggen was called and offered a job in Australia. He went for it, was arrested by federal police and imprisoned, wasnt offered bail and has been kept in solitary confinement. Daniel has now been locked up in this way for more than 9 months, without an ending in sight.  He next faces court on 24 November.

The cover was the issuing of an Interpol red notice that provides for extradition on certain grounds. It excludes extradition in cases that are political. Australia also has an extradition treaty with the United States, and this too spells out that it does not allow extradition for any alleged political offence.

A new Rapid Outreach Service (ROS) will become available throughout the Tweed and Byron Shires from late-2023 offering in-home care seven days a week.

According to Minister for Regional Health, Ryan Park today Patients, their families and carers living in Tweed, Byron and Murwillumbah communities will have more options for timely, tailored healthcare with a new urgent care service in the region.

The new Rapid Outreach Service will reduce unnecessary trips to the emergency department, said Mr Park.

We know many people who visit our emergency departments (EDs) could receive more timely and better tailored care within a community setting. The Rapid Outreach Service will enable patients to be treated in the comfort of their own homes, which will make a big difference.

This model is designed to create better links between the hospital and primary care systems providing an additional option for people to receive urgent care for injuries and illnesses when a GP is unavailable.

Member for Lismore Janelle Saffin said the service would boost access to health care in the region.

By providing care and support in person in the patients own home or aged care facility, as well as through virtual care platforms, it removes the burden of having to travel to hospital or the GP for healthcare, Ms Saffin said.

Dotty Domains: The Pentagons Mali Typo Leak Affair "IndyWatch Feed National"

Fleet-footed agility and sharp thinking rarely characterise the plodding bureaucrat.  An argument can be made that different attributes are prized: cherished incompetence, spells of inattentiveness, and dedication to keeping things secret with severity.  What matters is not what you did, but what you pretended to do.

Even with maintaining secrecy, the plodding desk-job hack can face problems, all falling under the umbrella term of human error.  Papers and files can stray.  The occasional USB stick can find its way into unwanted hands. And then there is that damnable business about the cloud and who can access it.

Despite repeated warnings over a decade by the Amsterdam-based Mali Dili, contracted to manage email accounts of the West African state, traffic from the US military continued to find its way to the .ml domain, the country identifier of Mali.  (For all we know, this may still be happening.)  This arose because of a typing error, with .mil being the suffix for US military email addresses.

Other countries also seemed caught up in the domain confusion.  Over a dozen emails intended for the Dutch military also found their way into the Johannes Zuurbier with .ml being confused with .nl.  Eight emails from the Australian Department of Defence, intended for US military consumption, also met the same fate.  These include problems about corrosion in Australias F-35 and an artillery manual carried by command post officers for each battery.

The man most bemused by this is not, it would seem, in the Pentagon, but a certain Dutch entrepreneur who was given the task of managing the domain.  Johannes Zuurbier has found himself inconvenienced by the whole matter for some years.  In 2023, he decided to gather the misdirected messages.  He currently holds 117,000 of them, though he has received anywhere up to 1,000 messages a day.  He has been good enough to badger individuals in the US national cyber security service, the White House, and the local defence attach in Mali.

The Financial Times reports that the contents of such messages vary.  Much of it is spam; a degree of it comprises X-Rays, medical data, identity documents, crew lists for ships, staffing names at bases, mapping on installations, base photos, naval inspection reports, contracts, criminal complaints against various personnel, internal investigations on bullying claims, official travel itineraries, bookings, tax and financial records.

While not earth shaking, one of the misdirected emails featured the travel itinerary of General James McConville, the US Armys Chief of Staff, whose visit to Indonesia was noted, alongsid...

Reviewing current and proposed sexual consent laws "IndyWatch Feed National"

Blue Seat Studios

Affirmative consent for sexual interactions became law in NSW on 1 June, 2022, but not all states and territories in Australia have affirmative consent laws. On 29 November, 2022 the Australian Senate referred an Inquiry into current and proposed sexual consent laws in Australia. Today at the Senate Hearing into current and proposed sexual consent laws across Australia, No to Violence CEO Jacqui Watt called for an affirmative consent model for any case that comes before the court.

Other recommendations that have been made include harmonising Australias consent laws across all jurisdictions to ensure consistency of both laws and understanding of sexual consent which were recommended by both Full Stop Australia and ANROWS (Australias National Research Organisation for Womens Safety) who both provided submissions to the Inquiry.

The Law Council recognised the inconsistencies in consent laws across various jurisdictions on the experience of victim-survivors in their submission and supported a national evaluation of sexual consent laws. They also recognised that women and girls are more likely than males to have experienced sexual violence and that the incidence of sexual harm often overlaps with other patterns of violence, including family and domestic violence and child abuse, and disproportionately affects already marginalised groups in society.

Sexual violence is widespread but underreported. Most reports of sexual violence do not make it to court, pointed out the Law Council.

Inaugural Climate Conversations Project Mending and Tending: Art that works for Nature launches "IndyWatch Feed Northcoast"

The inaugural Climate Conversations Project, Mending and Tending: Art that works for Nature, produced by local artists Samantha Moss, Jess Poulsen and Shona Wilson, will open at Lone Goat Gallery on Saturday 29 July.

An event on Friday 28 July from 5pm will officially open the project, which will run for one month.

There are many ways the community can engage with this interactive project at two locations. Lone Goat Gallery will be transformed into an exhibition and making space and host artist talks and workshops. While at Torakina Nature Reserve in Brunswick Heads there will be two unique events.

We are really excited to launch this new project that empowers artists to engage the community in important conversations about climate adaptation. We hope it is something we can continue as a biennial program, Byron Shire Councils Sustainability Team Leader, Julia Adams, said.

Samantha, Jess, and Shona all share a deep connection and appreciation for the environment, as well as an established art practice working with nature, she said.

The full program is as follows. All events are free and do not require a booking:

  • Launch event at Lone Goat Gallery on Friday 28 July from 5pm until 7pm.
  • Exhibition at Lone Goat Gallery from Saturday 29 July until Saturday 26 August.
  • Art Making Workshops at Torakina Nature Reserve on Sunday 30 July from 10am until 4pm.
  • Moonlit Nature Walk and Sound Meditation at Torakina Nature Reserve on Wednesday 2 August from 5pm.
  • Artist Talk and Workshop with Shona Wilson at Lone Goat Gallery on Saturday 5 August from 1pm.
  • Artist Talk and Workshop with Samantha Moss at Lone Goat Gallery on Saturday 12 August from 1pm.
  • Artist Talk and Workshop with Jess Poulsen at Lone Goat Gallery on Saturday 19 August from 1pm.

Climate Conversations is a new creative initiative that invites Northern Rivers artists to collaborate with community and explore ways we can adapt, reorganise, and evolve in the face of climate change through the arts. The theme this year is adaptation.

Bruns van dwellers move around the corner "IndyWatch Feed Northcoast"

Byron council estimates up to 160 camper vans are parked illegally each night. (file pic)

Byron Shire Council has carried out its promise to close a public carpark in Brunswick Heads, where a group of van dwellers were reportedly engaging in anti-social behaviour.

But with no alternative site provided, and talk of setting up hot showers and other facilities in the town so far coming to nothing, some are questioning whether the issue has received anything more than a band-aid solution.

A majority of councillors voted to close the South Beach Lane carpark at its May meeting, after home owners on the lane complained that the campers were slamming their doors and playing loud music at all hours, polluting the site with rubbish and human waste, and verbally abusing residents.

Staff followed through earlier this month, moving the campers on, and installing a row of large concrete barriers in the lane to prevent their return.

The move appears to have appeased most of the home owners.

However, with no alternative parking area available, some of the van dwellers appear to have simply moved around the corner to South Beach Road.

To some degree, its just moving the situation to another spot, said Sarah-Jane McGrath, a local woman experiencing homelessness who advocates for others in a similar situation.

I supported the closure of that space, even though Ive been homeless and living in my van for three years, because I felt the people who created the disharmony needed to be moved on.

But nothing has really changed in terms of the overall issue.

Following its decision to close the car park, Council passed a motion at its next meeting calling on NSW Housing Minister, Rose Jackson, to fund an outreach program that supports those who are genuinely homeless, rather than those who choose to freeload in our s...

Deep-sea mining rules delayed two more years; mining start remains unclear "IndyWatch Feed National"

KINGSTON, Jamaica On July 22, nations reached an agreement that will make it more difficult for deep-sea mining to start immediately in international waters, while not fully halting the industrys progress. For the past two weeks, council members of the International Seabed Authority (ISA), the UN-affiliated deep-sea mining regulator, have been meeting in Kingston, Jamaica, to negotiate a set of rules that would govern seabed mining in international waters. This proposed activity would excavate the ocean floor for commercially valuable minerals, which proponents say are needed for renewable technologies, such as electric-vehicle batteries. Yet, critics say deep-sea mining is unnecessary for mineral procurement and would cause widespread and far-reaching damage to marine ecosystems that sustain life on Earth. While deep-sea mining has not begun anywhere in the world, mining companies have invested large sums of money into technology development and launched mining exploration missions into the deep sea.  These meetings were highly anticipated because they coincided with the expiration of a so-called two-year rule that had the potential to jump-start deep-sea mining on the high seas, the vast tracts of ocean beyond national jurisdictions. In 2021, the tiny Pacific island of Nauru activated this rule embedded in the U.N. Convention on the Law of the Sea to encourage the ISA to adopt mining regulations by July 9, 2023, or to allow mining to begin with whatever rules were in place at the time. Scores of parliamentarians renew opposition to deep-sea mining at international meeting (commentary) "IndyWatch Feed National"

Without oceans, no life on earth. The statement is clear. As we, parliamentarians from all around the world, write these words, States are meeting in Kingston for the International Seabed Authority Assembly, where they could decide to prevent the launch of new, massive, oceans-destroying gear used in deep-sea mining. This is the newest project of the mining industry: opening mines at the bottom of the oceans. Even if the seabed is even less known than the surface of the moon. Even if deep sea mining would irreversibly affect sensitive ecosystems, liberate huge quantities of carbon, and risk harming marine animals such as whales, due to the noise pollution that will be generated. Energy transition cannot justify such environmental destruction. If we strengthen energy sobriety, efficiency and recycling, we will not have to exploit the deep seabed for our batteries and technology. The Metals Company and others plan to drop mining equipment like this to the bottom of the deep seas to prospect for minerals useful for the renewable energy transition. Image via The Metals Company. This is clearly not the opinion of The Metals Company. Led by the lure of profit, this company has triggered, through the State of Nauru, a two-year rule that could open up the deep seabed to the mining industry, as early as this summer. Since the beginning of July, they could apply for a mining permit at any time. Since then, the mobilization calling for a moratorium to prevent this madness is growing. On Indonesias Seram Island, a massive oil find lies beneath sacred land "IndyWatch Feed National"

SERAM ISLAND, Indonesia Zainudin Kelsaba traversed across the eastern Seram highland and stopped at an ancient outcrop grown over by trees and scrub. The mountain is our home, Zainudin told Mongabay Indonesia. The trees and rocks are part of our life. Uncertainty and fear have also become part of life for the Bati Indigenous people since prospectors began work in the remote landscape, hoping to unearth one of Indonesias largest untapped stores of hydrocarbons. Seram lies 1,000 kilometers (620 miles) north of the Australian city of Darwin and is the largest island in Indonesias eastern Maluku province. The island emerged out of the sea with the Manusela Formation, following a clash of multiple tectonic plates during the Miocene period more than 5 million years ago. The unique complexity of Serams geology, which extends far back to the Jurassic Period, likely contains a vast haul of oil and gas that has remained almost entirely untouched until now. Last year, PT Balam Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of Australias Lion Energy, conducted seismic surveys that have spurred optimism that Serams hydrocarbons may be viable. This month, the company announced highly promising results from its belowground study. Given the extremely large size of the prospects confirmed by the new seismic, we are confident we have a world-class prospect portfolio, Lion executive chairman Tom Soulsby said on July 6 in an announcement to the Australian Stock Exchange. New Files Reveal MKULTRAs Terrifying Reach: Ethnic Bioweapons, Mind Control, and Disturbing Experiments "IndyWatch Feed National"

In a groundbreaking investigation, renowned anthropologist Orisanmi Burton has blown the lid off a dark chapter in CIA history. Classified Agency files, recently obtained through Freedom of Information laws, expose shocking ties between the infamous MKULTRA program and nightmarish experiments on prisoners of color within the United States.

Burtons findings expose MKULTRAs sinister mission to develop psychological warfare and behavioral manipulation tactics specifically aimed at people of color under the guise of counterinsurgency. Unbelievably, these barbaric trials were conducted during a turbulent era when numerous U.S. government agencies relentlessly sought to crush the civil rights movement, and prisons brimmed with political radicalism.

This disturbing revelation puts the CIAs actions into sharp focus, revealing a ruthless bid to quell Black resistance both on the streets and behind bars. But it doesnt stop there. Burtons disclosures raise urgent and profound questions about the far-reaching impact of these operationsboth in the past and, unsettlingly, even today.

Among the most haunting questions is whether the Agency actively pursued a race-specific mind control weaponan idea that strikes at the very core of ethical and moral boundaries.

As the nation grapples with this revelation, one thing is certain: Burtons expos demands answers and accountability for the harrowing atrocities committed in the name of national security. The truth must be unveiled, and justice served for those who suffered under the relentless grip of MKULTRAs clandestine horrors.

Penetration of Defenses

Of the many medical research facilities abused by the CIA for the purposes of MKULTRA, Allan Memorial Institute, a psychiatric hospital in Montreal, Quebec, looms perhaps the largest and most darkly.

It was here that from 1957-1964, the Agency secretly operated the programs Subproject 68 under the leadership of notorious psychiatrist Ewen Cameron, the Institutes founder. Cameron sought to depattern minds via a technique known as psychic driving. It entailed drugging unconsenting, unwitting patients with incapacitating cocktails of psychedelic substances, then subjecting them to electric shocks while they listened to hours of recorded, looped audio.

Cameron hoped to render his subjects minds a blank slate onto which new behaviors, thoughts, memories, and personalities could be surreptitiously imposed from the outside. It also se...

Should species be named after people? Its up for debate. "IndyWatch Feed National"

What do Taylor Swift, Jackie Chan, Adolf Hitler and several Nobel Peace laureates all have in common? Over the past 100 years, theyve all had plants, animals, insects or other new-to-science species named in their honor. The practice of using eponyms, or scientific names based on real or fictional people, has been in place since the 1700s, when Swedish zoologist Carl Linnaeus first invented the taxonomic system of Latin naming we still use today. However, using eponyms is controversial and hotly debated, with many questioning whether its appropriate to continue this tradition. In a recent commentary titled Eponyms have no place in 21st-century biological nomenclature, published in Nature Ecology & Evolution, scientists argue that eponyms perpetuate a negative legacy associated with imperialism, racism and slavery, and call for offensive names to be changed. And there are quite a few names that people find offensive. Take the case of Hibbertia, a genus of Australian guinea flowers named after George Hibbert, a wealthy British patron of botanical studies in the 19th century who gained much of his wealth from the trans-Atlantic slave trade. Researchers are still finding new species of Hibbertia, and while most oppose using this name, they have no choice. Although they can select the second part of the scientific name (the specific epithet) when assigning a name to a new species, the first portion (the genus) remains fixed under the strict codes that govern naming. Worldcoin Founders Refusal To Answer Token Distribution Question Sparks Controversy "IndyWatch Feed National"

Worldcoin co-founder Alex Blanias recent refusal to disclose the tokens distribution model has raised some eyebrows, including that of John Deaton, who has expressed his dismay at his action.

Something Fishy With Worldcoin?

A video surfaced on Twitter in which Alex Blania, during a recent Bankless interview alongside fellow co-founder Sam Altman, refused to respond to the hosts question on Worldcoins token distribution, citing the regulatory uncertainty in the US as why he couldnt answer the question.

The Twitter user (@Pledditor) posted the video with the caption:

In the video, the host asks Blania to explain the distribution of the WLD token and Blania is quoted as saying: Look, many of the details we cant talk about here for the regulatory uncertainty in the United States.

The video quickly went viral and sparked controversy as to whether Worldcoin was just another ponzinomics or, indeed, Alex Blania was honest about why he couldnt answer the question.

However, renowned crypto lawyer John Deaton, who represents some XRP holders, quickly reacted to the video in a tweet.

Cover up: The Australian Governments Secret List of U.S. Bases "IndyWatch Feed National"

By Richard Tanter, Pearls and Irritations, July25, 2023

What do the governments of other US allies, including Hungary, Norway, the Philippines, and the former puppet government of Afghanistan, possess that Australian governments do not? The answer is a conception of genuine sovereignty, and obligations to transparency that are foreign to Australian governments, particularly the incumbent Albanese government.

In November 2011, Prime Minister Julia Gillard and President Barack Obama announced plans for annual deployment of a US Marine Rotational Force to Darwin and US Air Force aircraft to Australian bases in the Northern Territory, commencing in April 2012.

The United States Australia Force Posture Agreement signed on 12 August 2014 formalised a much larger strategic upgrade of alliance arrangements initiated by the two leaders. Over the past decade both governments have made very large budgetary commitments to infrastructure developments at Australian defence facilities in northern Australia under various headings, including the Australian Defence Departments continually evolving United States Force Posture Initiative.

A key feature of the Force Posture Agreement is the concept of Agreed Facilities and Areas, defined in Article I of the Agreement as follows:

Agreed Facilities and Areas means the facilities and areas in the territory of Australia provided by Australia which may be listed in Annex A appended to this Agreement, and such other facilities and areas in the territory of Australia as may be provided by Australia in the future, to which United States Forces, United States Contractors, dependants, and other United States Government personnel as mutually agreed, shall have the right to access and use pursuant to this Agreement.

Blinkens Visit Supporting FIFA Threatens New Zealands Peaceful Reputation "IndyWatch Feed National"

By World BEYOND War Aotearoa, July 25, 2023

A global peace network has called out the U.S. Secretary of States visit to New Zealand  as a threat to our peaceful reputation and not good old-fashioned sports diplomacy, as described by our Foreign Minister.

If Secretary Blinken was coming to New Zealand solely to support the peaceful U.S. womens FIFA soccer team, then Foreign Minister Nanaia Mahuta could justifiably welcome him as a close friend and partner, says World BEYOND War Aotearoa spokesman, Hon. Matt Robson, former Minister of Disarmament.

But he says the actual purpose of Blinkens trip is to drag New Zealand further into aggressive plans for the containment of Americas economic competitor, China.

Foreign Minister Nanaia Mahuta, representing New Zealands  peace and diplomacy policies, needs to advise Mr Blinken that New Zealand, a signatory to the UN Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, does not support NATOs condemnation of that treaty.

Furthermore it does not agree with using the 400-plus US military bases from Japan to Australia, many of which are nuclear-armed, to threaten China, our largest trading partner.

Failure to do this, and agreeing to nuclear armed NATOs provocations against China, undermines the nuclear free status of New Zealand, and the antiwar policies that New Zealanders have developed, for which New Zealand has been praised, says Mr Robson.

The New Zealand public deserves to be made aware, not least by the media, of the implications of Blinkens visit and the costs and dangers of unthinking subordination of New Zealand interests to US strategy against China, says Mr Robson.

As potential corruption revealed, Albanese Government must urgently evacuate the survivors of offshore detention "IndyWatch Feed National"

The Albanese Government must immediately evacuate the 75 remaining survivors of offshore detention from Papua New Guinea and shut down its detention centres on Nauru, as it accounts for the multi-million-dollar secret payments that have propped up offshore detention over the past decade.

Investigative reports this week have revealed multi-million-dollar payments by government contractors to politicians in Papua New Guinea and Nauru. Reports suggest that these payments were made with the knowledge of the Department of Home Affairs, and even senior government figures in Australia.

It has also been revealed that the former Morrison government entered a secret deal with the Papua New Guinean Government to continue payments to provide for the 75 people left behind in PNG. This came after PNGs Supreme Court shut down formal regional processing arrangements and the Australian Government claimed to have no ongoing involvement.

Together, these reports reveal the corruption and duplicity at the heart of offshore detention. They also raise serious questions around the Albanese Governments continued expenditure on regional processing operations in both Nauru and PNG.

In light of these reports, the Human Rights Law Centre is calling on the Albanese Government to immediately bring the 75 people still remaining in Papua New Guinea to Australia and provide permanent safety, as a first step to ending the long-running and systematic abuse.

Farhad Bandesh, an artist and musician who was previously detained on Manus Island, said:

In Manus Island, we saw everyday acts of corruption, exploitation and censorship that were designed to keep us detained and keep the detention camp operating. Now, we hear that this kind of corruption was likely widespread, and could have involved senior politicians and officials on both sides. This is what happens when a government creates opportunities for people to profit from the torture of other people. This is the reality of a system designed to create suffering. The only solution now is to bring all the people remaining in Papua New Guinea to safety, and shut down this system once and for all.

Mehrdad, an engineer who was previously detained on Manus Island, said:

I was detained for years on Manus, attacked in the riots that cost Reza Berati his life. Australian-funded contractors were allowed to attack and kill us Australian tax dollars paid for what was done to me. I have friends from that time who are still stuck in PNG. Before a Royal Commission or any investigation, the governments first responsibility is to bring everyone to safety.

Mobile dentist van to visit four local schools "IndyWatch Feed Northcoast"

Kids in regional and remote Northern NSW communities will have a faster and more convenient trip to the dentist thanks to a new mobile dental van operating in the region, the state government says.

The service is an extension of the NSW Health Primary School Mobile Dental Program, and Northern NSW Local Health District Oral Health Service is running a pilot program to visit several local primary schools throughout 2023.

It has already visited Bonalbo Central School, and will also attend schools in Urbenville, Tabulam and Kyogle over the coming weeks.

Dr Angie Nilsson, Clinical Director Oral Health Services, said primary school children are at an important point in their dental journey as their adult teeth start to come through.

Were helping kids set good oral health practices for life and ensuring they get the best start for healthy teeth and gums, Dr Nilsson said.

It can take more than two hours for some of our communities to travel to access the public dental service, and in areas with limited public transport options, its even more of a challenge.

The services will include check-ups, cleans, x-rays and other preventive treatments and will help to set children on a path to good dental health for life.

Member for Lismore Janelle Saffin said she was pleased to see the service would visit four primary schools across Northern NSW.

Some regional and remote communities in our region experience significant barriers to dental care, so this is a really wonderful initiative to bring preventive healthcare to some of our youngest residents, Ms Saffin said.

Bonalbo Central School was the first school to host the dental van in May, with close to 100 percent of the primary school children receiving check-ups.

Local bowls players come second after marathon State Pairs finals day "IndyWatch Feed Northcoast"

Kerry and Sherril were second at the TBDWBA State Pairs competition after many hours on the green.

Brunswick Heads Womens Bowling Club came a close second after a big day at the Tweed Byron District Womens Bowling Association (TBDWBA) State Pairs competition held at Kingscliff earlier this month.
The clubs Kerry Dexter (skip) and Sherril Pearce went straight through to the semi-final against Pottsville after a bye in the first game.
Pottsville took the lead early in the game. We fought back and on the last end the scores were 18 all. This meant another deciding end had to be played, Kerry said.
It came down to both skips having each of their bowls close to the jack and the umpire had to be called to measure, with Brunswick winning the game by millimetres, 1918.
This game lasted four hours and 25 minutes, far longer than the average of roughly 33.5 hours.
The final started an hour late and we played against Kingscliff. They took the lead and we fought back equalling the score at one stage, but on the 19th end it was decided not to play the last two ends due to failing light with Kingscliff leading 2411, Kerry said.
We were very happy to be runners up in this competition and worked out we played 8hrs 50mins of bowls on the day.

Local league teams face tough run to the finals "IndyWatch Feed Northcoast"

Local rugby league fans have seen the chances of their teams making the finals slip away after enduring losses before last weekends bye.
The Byron Bay Red Devils took on the Bilambil Jets in round 13 after travelling north and came away with a 3418 loss.
A win would have put them in sixth place on the competition ladder, with a finals berth if they held on.
As it is they sit in eighth place with 13 competition points on a congested ladder.
To make the finals they have to get past Evans Head (16), Tweed Coast (16), Cudgen (14), Lower Clarence (14).
Mullumbimby Giants lost to Marist Brothers 2428, and sit in tenth place on 11 points.
While both teams can theoretically still make the finals a lot would have to go their way.
The first stumbling block is this weekend as both sides take on top teams.
This Sunday Mullumbimby hosts Ballina, the competition leader, before taking on third-placed Northern United, the week after.
The Red Devils host Evans Head (fourth-placed) this Sunday, before playing away to Ballina Seagulls in the final round.
On the up side both sides have a bye, and two competition points, over the three-week run to the finals.

Demanding IPEF timeline threatens to undermine open and inclusive process of negotiations "IndyWatch Feed National"

25 July, 2023: There has been increasing criticism of the process for negotiating the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) with the recent conclusion of the fourth round IPEF negotiations in Busan, South Korea which reported incremental progress.

The Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) is a regional forum initiated by the US that proponents say will strengthen economic cooperation between its 14 participants and divert supply chains away from China. IPEF, unlike traditional trade agreements, does not include market access commitments like lower tariffs. Instead, the main incentives are increased investment and capacity building projects in addition to commitments to improve human rights, labour rights and environmental standards in the region.

The US has set an ambitious timeline to conclude IPEF negotiations before the US-held Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in November. However, there are concerns that US pressure to quickly conclude IPEF is harming the transparency of the process, even for negotiators.

Increasingly limited stakeholder consultation

IPEF promised to be a new model of progressive trade arrangements which prioritises high labour, environmental and human rights standards. The rhetoric of IPEF has centred heavily on inclusivity and engagement during negotiations.

However, from the start of discussions, the US has prevented IPEF countries from revealing the negotiating texts until 5 years after the negotiations are completed. This is a year longer than for The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement, a previous trade agreement widely criticised as opaque and corporate-dominated.

Despite the announcement of the substantial conclusion of pillar 2 supply chain negotiations in Detroit in May, the text of the completed agreement has still not been released. IPEF governments have not responded to calls from AFTINET and other civil society groups to release the text.

This marks a step back for both the negotiating text and concluded text. In 2016, negotiators did release the concluded text of the TPP at this stage to the public, showing that the inclusive appro...

Call for a super profit tax to create affordable housing is on the mark "IndyWatch Feed National"

Contributed by Joe Montero

One of Australias biggest unions. The Construction Forestry Mining Maritime and Energy Union (CFMMEU) is launching a push for a major rise in government investment on affordable housing. The unions national secretary Zach smith says this is necessary to take on the housing crisis that so many are facing in his country.

The union had commissioned Oxford Economics to analyse of the impact of a super profits tax on the biggest corporations to fund the construction of new affordable homes. The resulting proposal is a permanent 40 percent tax on super profits for companies with a turnover of over $100 million a year. This would apply to only 0.3 percent of companies and would raise around $29 billion a year and go a long way towards meeting the need for 750,000 new dwellings.

Photo from The Australian: CFMMEU National Construction Division secretary Zach Smith

Proposing a super profits tax might seem like quite a radical move. It isnt. Its the least of what is needed for Australia to meet its obligation as a signatory to the 1966 International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, which codified and mandated housing as essential to human right.

Even if this convention didnt exist, adequate housing for all would be taken up by a society that values the principle that dignity and a standard of living in line with community expectations should be available to all.

Australia has a responsibility to ensure this becomes a reality.

Advocates of social housing have long been pushing for far more action to meet the need. Programs to date, including the current Housing Austral...

Google guilty of ad-fraud againsts its customers including NYTimes, Reuters, Wired, Mashable and Gizmodo "IndyWatch Feed National"

Did Google mislead advertisers about TrueView skippable in-stream ads for the past three years?

This report finds that advertisers including Fortune 500 brands, the US federal government, and many small businesses may have been misled for years about Googles proprietary TrueView skippable in-stream video ads. This misalignment may have cost media buyers up to billions of digital ad dollars, which were ultimately spent on small, muted, out-stream, auto-playing or interstitial video ad units running on independent websites and mobile apps.

TrueView is Google's proprietary cost-per-view, choice-based ad format that serves on YouTube, millions of apps, and across the web. With TrueView, advertisers only pay for actual views of their ads, rather than impressions. TrueView asks users if they want to skip the video ad after 5 seconds with a visual prompt. Googles policies state that TrueView ads must be skippable, audible, and playing of the video (and ad) cannot be solely initiated by passive user scrolling.

However, this research report finds that for years, significant quantities of TrueView skippable in-stream ads, purchased by many different brands and media agencies, appear to have been served on hundreds of thousands of websites and apps in which the consumer experience did not meet Googles stated quality standards. For example, many TrueView in-stream ads were served muted and auto-playing as out-stream video or as obscured video players on independent sites. Often, there was little to no organic video media content between ads, the video units simply played ads only.

Local frother takes State Title "IndyWatch Feed Northcoast"

Local surfer Billy Daniel has won his age division at the Grommet State Titles which wrapped up with a marathon day of surfing in Maroubra yesterday.

The Fingal Head resident took out the Under 12 title, his first State Title win.

Billy won all three of his heats in this event with his best score, 7.0, in round three.

But it was his spectacular finals effort that solidified his crown. His third and final wave scored a 6.0 to sneak the win off Andy Blanchfield.

Jaggar Phillips (Maroubra), Lucy Darragh (Werri Beach), Billy Daniels (Fingal Head) and Everly Morgan (Ulladulla) are the new NSW Grommet State Champions.

The waves were a bit average, but I got a good score at the end that took me into first place, Billy said after the win.

It was pretty fun out there.

A powerful southerly swell that arrived last week surged on Sunday with dangerous and inconsistent conditions making the Under 12 and Under 14 events too dangerous to contest.

Event organisers made the decision not to run on Sunday with the option of running two competition areas on Monday to complete the remaining rounds and finals.

The states youngest athletes were keen to get back in the water after a lay-day, as with 5,500 points up for grabs, the event plays an important part of the Surfing NSW junior pathway as the first chance for the young athletes to accumulate rankings points.

The Under 12 divisions are always impressive at the State Titles. With some athletes as young as nine years old, its eye-opening each year to watch them paddle out and perform with so much progression. This year was no different.

Nine-year-old Everly Morgan from Ulladulla was beyond stoked to win her very first State Title in the Under 12 Girls division.

The south coast surfer caught seven waves in the final and said: Its my first time winning State Titles and Im super happy about it. The surf was fun, I caught two good rides, a left and a right and it was a tough heat.

Australia fact of the day "IndyWatch Feed Nsw"

Health officials have virtually eliminated HIV transmission in parts of Sydney that were once the centre of the Australian Aids epidemic, raising hopes of conquering a disease that has killed more than 40mn people.

HIV diagnoses in inner Sydney plunged 88 per cent from the 2008-12 average to just 11 cases last year, a decline on a scale never before recorded in a former Aids hotspot.

The results add to evidence that existing prevention strategies, including testing and pre-exposure drugs, are highly effective when implemented correctly.

Rapid progress towards ending Aids is possible. If trends continue, several countries in several global regions will reach the [UN] goal of a 90 per cent HIV incidence reduction by 2030, researchers said.

Celebrate Plastic Free July With These 23 Easy Ways to Cut Back on Single-Use Plastics "IndyWatch Feed National"

Its just a plastic fork, just a takeout container, just one water bottle.

Not exactly.

Indulging in the modern convenience of single-use plastics seems harmless, but the consequences to our health, wildlife, and oceans will be with us for a long time to come. Globally, we produce 300 million tons of plastic annually, about half of which is single-use items and 8 million tons of that plastic reaches oceans every year. By 2050, there could be more plastic than fish in the sea.

One reason for plastics well-deserved bad reputation is that it never truly breaks down rather, it breaks apart into increasingly tinier pieces through the forces of light, heat, and other environmental factors until it becomes microplastics. These microscopic pieces have reached virtually every corner of the Earth: the deepest oceans, highest mountains, the tissues of the fish and animals that we consume, and even our own blood and lungs.

Sure, recycling is one important solution to our plastic crisis, but only 9% of plastic actually gets recycled. Therefore, its crucial that we curb our production and consumption of plastic, and fast.

Thats where Plastic Free July comes in: a global challenge to reduce single-use plastics. The project was begun by Rebecca Prince-Ruiz in Australia in 2011, and is now a part of the nonprofit Plastic Free Foundation, formed in 2017. On the organizations website, people can take the pledge to reduce their plastic waste at any level: for a day, a week, a month; to avoid single-use packaging exclusively, or go completely plastic free.

But how do you get started? Use this simple guide to consider areas of your life and home in which you can easily reduce plastic waste with a few swaps to reusables, or different methods that sidestep plastic altogether. Remember: Plastic Free July isnt about being perfect. Its very difficult to completely remove plastic from your life especially given accessibility and economic barriers to some elements of sustainable living  but about reducing your consumption wherever you are able.

The Fascination with Jeffrey Dahmer Autopsy Photos Prison Reddit "IndyWatch Feed National"

Jeffrey Dahmer Autopsy Photos Prison Reddit

When I first stumbled upon a thread discussing Jeffrey Dahmers autopsy photos on Reddit, I was taken aback by the sheer amount of interest. Yet, its evident that theres a significant fascination with these images and their related discussions in online communities.

Why are we drawn to such dark aspects of human history? Psychologists suggest it might be due to our innate curiosity about mortality and the darker side of human nature. It could also stem from an attempt to understand what drives a person like Dahmer to commit such heinous acts. It cant be denied that Jeffrey Dahmer is an infamous figure in American true crime history. His gruesome acts while alive, and even the details surrounding his death in prison, have continually fed public curiosity. The autopsy photos serve as tangible evidence of his existence they provide a finality to his story that people find intriguing.

If youve ever ventured into any true crime subreddit, youll notice theyre filled with posts offering new perspectives or sharing information about well-known cases like Dahmers. This constant analysis reflects our collective desire for understanding and closure. Here are some elements that contribute to this fascination:

  • The macabre: Humans have always been attracted to things we consider strange or frightening.
  • The need for answers: We seek explanations for things we dont understand.
  • The thrill: Some find excitement in exploring the unknown or taboo subjects.

In conclusion (without starting my sentence off in conclusion,), as much as Jeffery Dahmers autopsy photos may seem unsettling at first glance theyre more than just grizzly keepsakes for true crime enthusiasts on Reddit; they represent our complex relationship with fear, understanding evil deeds and confronting our own mortality.

XRP Sluggish: Unraveling The Factors Behind Its Gradual Weakening "IndyWatch Feed Nsw"

The XRP community is struggling with a significant rise in profit-booking actions due to repeated attempts at smashing through the unbreakable $0.85 resistance barrier, resulting in a severe loss of traction for the Ripple altcoin price.

The market is now anxiously awaiting the answer to the crucial question: Will the bullish forces muster enough strength to defend the critical $0.70 support level? Investors are patiently waiting for a definitive response as uncertainty reigns, aware of the delicate balance at stake.

Following reports that the US Securities and Exchange Commission planned to appeal the recent legal verdict in favor of Ripple, XRP saw a substantial 12% fall against USDT on Binance. This appeal nullified the profits achieved during the significant spike in XRP and other altcoins brought on by the lawsuits successful resolution.

At the time of writing, the top altcoin was trading at $0.739, down 4.6% in the last 24 hours. Despite the hiccup, XRP managed to tally a 3.0% increase in the weekly timeframe, data from crypto market tracker Coingecko shows.

After hitting a barrier near the $0.85 level, XRP lost impetus, and on-chain signals indicate that whale investors may soon give in to the developing bearish trend.

RSI Shows XRP Losing Steam

The price of XRP decreased by 17% between July 13 and July 22. The partial victory for Ripple stoked excitement among XRP holders and drove the alternative currency to its regional high of $0.9375.

Its also important to note that XRP has yet to go very far despite a few falls over the past week as some traders took profits, with its support level still rising as of this writing.
